Let Me Be Your Intuitive Guide
Here are the 5 things that I end up helping people with, just naturally. A lot of it has to do with taking action and trusting yourself. As someone who struggles with procrastinating I want to help people not make the same mistakes I do.
Trusting Your Intuition and Yourself
The #1 thing I want to help people with is trusting their intuition. I have met many people when doing intuitive guidance sessions who want to know how to tap into their intuition but they’re scared to.
There are many good reasons for not trusting your intuition. Primarily, it is because in many places and societies people are told not to, that it’s “evil”. I want to dispel all of that.
Intuition is part of being human. It’s part of how we sense the world. Sometimes intuition does involve the senses more than we realize. We, as a group, have stopped paying attention to the sensory information we’re receiving.
Another factor is that we’re told many times a day in many situations not to trust ourselves at all, let alone something as “spooky” as intuition. Even if you are as experienced at trusting your intuition as I am, I still get tripped up all the time by external messages that make me doubt myself.
Show You How Amazing You Are
I love it when I can help people see their inner genius. I do this in private sessions and live classes, but I hope to develop tools for people to reinforce this realization about themselves.
People come to me for readings because they're stuck and they can’t see a clear path. They’ve lost faith in themselves. Granted, it’s hard to see yourself as amazing with all the pressures of the day going on around you. It is helpful to get an outside opinion from somebody like me.
But when I mirror back to them the good things about who they are, they realize those aspects of themselves were there all along. Usually just being able to see themselves from that perspective is enough to get them moving again.
Expand Your Awareness
I think it was Colette Baron-Reid who coined the term “unseen realms”, or at least she popularized it. I love that way of describing other realities that appear to exist alongside what we consider our “ordinary” reality.
People often think that expanding awareness is the same thing as being blissed out. It can do that, but I don’t recommend it. It’s good to keep a toehold in reality. I know this from personal experience.
For me expanding awareness is about being aware of the world around you. There is such as a thing as being too aware. So I want to help people who have had a taste of that expanded awareness manage it better.
But I also want people who have never experienced that to be able to open up and expand their reality in a way that doesn’t actually blow their minds. Overdoing it can lead to major psychological difficulties, and I’m not licensed to help anyone with that.
Map Out Your Life
My fascination with maps started before I could read. As an adult, looking at maps is one way I relax. There's something wonderful about knowing where you're going.
I can’t get enough of journals and programs that are designed to help you figure out where you’re going on paper. I want them to be whimsical and creative, too.
I recently found out that I have ADHD and therefore I crave structure but also have a hard time making myself do it. I won’t lie, sometimes it’s impossible. But I feel SO MUCH BETTER if I just do the thing and follow the program.
I have an art degree and have spent a lot of time with creative people. Before I found out about having ADHD I thought my mission in life was to save creatives – like me – from themselves. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to organize creative people, but it’s absolutely like herding cats. It’s frustrating for everybody. I keep thinking there has to be a better way.
People in the “spiritual but not religious” communities seem to show up in exactly the same way. We all want a connection with something bigger than ourselves but we don’t like the structure of organized religion. But at the same time, a lot of us crave that structure.
Therefore, I’m on a mission to figure out how to give us structure-phobic, creative, mystical people a structure that we can live with. Like a map of some sort. Something like putting words and pictures together to make a clear map from point A to point B.
Because, in the end, not really knowing where you going is a scary way to live your life. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some idea of what’s going to happen next?
Be Your Fairy Godmother
Okay, so I can’t really wave my wand and make all your dreams come true. However, and I can’t really explain what makes it happen, when I work with people magical things seem to occur. I have a lot of contacts on the Other Side. I've paid my dues to get them. And so my people* seem to talk to your people if we have an agreement of some sort where I’m going to help you.
*The word “people” in this context is relative. They could be angels, goddesses, plant spirits, the elements themselves (although, not so much), land spirits, ancestors, and so on.
And it’s not just me. I have several friends who have this same gift. I think we just want to spread more good in the Universe and so the Universe responds.
The thing about this Fairy Godmother-ness is that it’s 99% of the time not something I do directly. It happens behind the scenes. It’s about things starting to show up when you need them. It’s about having the feeling of being led where you need to go, opportunities appearing that weren’t there before. I love when that happens for people. It’s a mystery how it does.
I imagine having a community of Fairy Godmothers where we all allow our unseen helpers help each other in a more direct way.
To Sum It Up
If you're the kind of person who has difficulty knowing what's really important to you, what direction to go in, love the idea of magic being real, and want to be super-sensory, then I am here to offer you guidance.
